Biography:

I have been in general Family Practice since graduation from Medicine in 1982. In 1999 I joined the Mature Women’s Center – a nurse managed clinic devoted to care of women in mid life and beyond. As part of that program an Osteoporosis clinic was developed and I have been involved in the care of individuals with osteoporosis since then. I have been associated with OC since the 2005 update to the 2002 Guidelines. I then joined SAC in 2010. At the same time I was nominated to the National Board of Directors and have been on a variety of Board committees. I also sit on the Manitoba Bone Density Committee, which oversees provision of BMD services in the province, as well as on the MB Osteoporosis Steering Committee whose mandate is to support adaptation and implementation of the Osteoporosis Clinical Practice Guidelines in the Manitoba context. I continue to be involved in providing CME for family physicians as well as teaching residents.
