Member of the SAC since 2012

Areas of Interest/Expertise: Breast Imaging, Breast Screening, Osteoporosis especially Bone Density Interpretation and the Role of the Radiologist in Closing the Fracture Care Gap; General Nuclear Medicine.

Biography:

Dr Iles is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Dalhousie University and Section Head of Breast Imaging at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre. She graduated from medical school at Dalhousie in 1982. As part of a a joint residency in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology she did fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St Louis Missouri. She has worked at the QE II Health Sciences Centre, the Izaak Walton Killam Health Centre and the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Her primary interests are Nuclear Medicine, with a special interest in bone densitometry, and Breast Imaging.
